The good qualities like peacefulness, forgiveness, straightforwardness, talking in pleasant manner are considered as incapability by those who do not have these qualities.
In this world, people generally respect those who are praising themselves, wicked, forcible, running hurriedly here and there, always uses power to "control by stick".
So, as needed, one should show his power to get things done in this world. Otherwise people think of a good person to be incapable.

సమ ప్రవృత్తి - equanimity of God
-- శ్రీ రావణ కృత శివ తాండవ స్తోత్రం నుంచి (వైశాఖ మాస శివరాత్రి సందర్భంగా )
Lord sadASiva is the lord of lords or mahAdEva. RAvaNa was a great devotee of Siva who has really described God in the form of Siva. { RAvaNa failed to adhere to righteousness or dharma and met his end in the hands of God in the form of Rama; that does not come in the way of his devotion to the God in the form of Siva; in all times rAma is not different from Siva }
in Siva tAnDava stotra rAvaNa describes the "equanimity" or "equal vision" of God towards all the subjects as follows:
दृषद्-विचित्र तल्पयोः dRshd-vicitra talpayOH = in hard stone floor as a bed and beautifully made bed or seat (talpa could mean a bed or a couch something like sofa)
भुजंग मौक्तिक स्रजोः bhujanga-mauktika srajOH = in the garland of snake and a beautiful garland made up of best pearls
गरिष्ठरत्न लोष्ठयोः garishTha ratna-lOshThayOH = in the great gem stone like a diamond and a lump of dried clay
सुहृत्-विपक्ष पक्षयोः suhRd-vipaksha pakshayOH = in the friendly side and the enemy side
तृण-अरविन्द चक्षुषोः tRNa-aravinda cakshushOH = in the blade of grass (considered lowest of living beings) and in the god of creation (considered as highest of living beings)
प्रजा-महीमहेन्द्रयोः prajA-mahImahEndrayOH = in ordinary person and an emperor of emperors
सम प्रवृत्तिकः कदा सदाशिवं भजाम्यहम् sama-pravRttikaH kadA sadASivaM bhajAmi aham = When will I adore such Lord sadASiva who always sees equally among all beings!
Let the grace of such equanimous vision of LORD be on one and ALL!
